We know how tedious and frustrating trimming around trees, flower beds, vegetable gardens, fences, driveways, and other obstacles can be. We offer trimming with both weedeater and push mower to reach all those troublesome areas. Don’t ignore the important details that give a maintained and well-kept impression.

Fertilizer Application

AAA Landscaping Our Full Year Lawn Nutrition Package combines five different fertilizers throughout the year from March through November with spring and fall lime in 12 different applications. The price for this combined service for an average lawn at which we provide regular mowing service is $195.

Overseeding

AAA Landscaping Overseeding is the process of sowing seed over an existing lawn. This is done with a broadcast spreader and by hand, with the seed landing on the soil. The conditions that seeds need in order to germinate are moisture, the right temperature and darkness. The holes left by the aerator are the perfect place for seed to germinate and when it is done after aeration, some of the seed will end up falling into the holes. Also, rain will cause the seed that does not make good contact with the soil in other locations to wash into the holes. The result is a large amount of seedlings will sprout every couple of inches in your lawn, thickening it extensively.

The seed should be watered in heavily right after application, and then watered daily for the first two weeks after germination. If not, the seeds may die. If possible, it’s best to wait for several weeks after they sprout until mowing.

Key benefits

  • Thicken existing lawn
    • Add species of grass which may not be already present in your lawn but which may thrive.

Pricing

Overseeding of an average Edmonton lawn will cost $55.

Aeration

AAA Landscaping Aeration is one of the best things you can do for your lawn. Aeration breaks up compacted soil by extracting plugs of earth. This stimulates root growth and improves drainage. The nutrient-rich plugs are left on the lawn where they break down over the following weeks, acting as a natural fertilizer.

Aeration can be done either once or twice per year, either in the Spring or in the Fall. It is always great value as it will greatly improve the look of your lawn and the cost is relatively modest.

Aeration is an excellent service to combine with overseeding.

Key benefits

  • Increased root growth leading to a more lush lawn.

Better drainage

Perfect time to get excellent results with overseeding.

Power Raking

AAA Landscaping Power raking involves removing the majority of moss and thatch from the lawn. We run a power rake (a machine with blades which rotate vertically) over your lawn twice. We then rake up the debris and mow over the lawn to pick up any remaining debris. The moss and thatch is placed in your trimmings bin. Any excess is bagged and left at your property or taken away at the rate of $2 per bag.

Power raking can be a very significant procedure. If your lawn is very mossy it may mean that much of the “green” is taken away. Afterwards, overseeding combined with aeration and/or topdressing may be necessary. You will be informed as to what you should expect at the time of your free no obligation lawn consultation.

We often hear people say that they actually don’t mind the moss. It’s green and for some that is good enough. While we would never want to tell people what they should or should not like, it’s important to keep in mind that while moss is often green in the spring, it will often brown or yellow out once it has frequent exposure to the sun.

Most areas of the lawn can be kept free of moss with regular maintenance. However, there are some areas which will perennially grow moss. We’ll make sure you know what to expect during your free lawn consultation.

Key benefits

  • Remove unwanted moss and thatch. Give room for grass to thrive. Make us work up a sweat!

Pricing

The price to power rake an average lawn in Edmonton area is $75.00. This includes the two passes with the power rake, raking up the debris and after-service mowing and clean up. No we’re not reading your mind, we’re just thinking the same thing: bargain!
