Lawn Mowing

What is included in the regular mowing service?

The lawn is mown and all edges are trimmed and edged both vertically and horizontally. All debris is then blown off walks, stepping stones and patios. Clippings are left in your city trimmings bin or taken away at a cost of $2 per bag.

How frequently will the lawn be mown?

This will change depending on the lawn’s growth as the seasons progress. Generally this means every 7 to 10 days in the spring and early summer, and every 10 to 14 days in the summer depending on how often you water the lawn, and on the weather.

Can I set a rigid schedule for the lawn to be mown?

Yes, you can! If you would like it cut every 7 days or every 14 days regardless of the speed of growth that is not a problem. Just remember that the price provided for mowing the lawn is assuming that the lawn is not terribly long. If the lawn is unreasonably long there will be extra charges which reflect the extra amount of time we need to take.

Can I schedule a one time cut?

Yes, that’s not a problem. Just remember that the price provided for mowing the lawn is assuming that the lawn is not terribly long. If the lawn is unreasonably long there will be extra charges which reflect the extra amount of time we need to take.

Why is your lawn mowing so good?

There are a few reasons. The first and most important is that the person working at your property is experienced, and has the best equipment possible. Add in frequent maintenance such as daily-sharpened mower blades and you will begin to understand why your property looks so good!

Can you take away the grass after you cut?

Absolutely. The cost for this is $2 per bag and will appear on your invoice as “disposal”.

Can you cut the lawn at a specific height that I like?

Yes, just mention it at the time of the estimate and we’ll make sure that it happens.

Spring and Fall Services

I have plenty of moss in my lawn. How can I get rid of it?

If there is existing moss, the only effective way to get rid of it is to power rake. The important thing to do afterwards is change the conditions such that moss growth is discouraged in the future.

Aeration and Lime Application

Do you rake leaves?

Yes, we do! With our top of the line equipment, your yard will be cleared in no time! We also dispose of leaves.

Chafer Beetle Control

Do I need to treat my lawn every year?

While there are different theories about how the chafer beetle might die out, at this point it is still necessary to treat every year. Keep in mind that the only way to protect your lawn is to be proactive by treating in the summer before there is potential damage.

Billing

How often will I receive an invoice?

You will receive an invoice either by mail or email (at your preference) at the beginning of the month for the work done in the preceding month.

What methods can I use to pay?

You can send a cheque or an Interac Email Money Transfer. Shortly you will be able to pay us via your online banking account by selecting “AAA Landscaping landscaping” as a bill payee in the same way that you might pay your cable or other utility bills.

Can I pay cash?

Yes, you can pay cash. Just make sure that when you give payment to the lawn maintenance worker on your property that you clearly mark your name on the envelope and make sure that the envelope is sealed. That’s not because our workers are untrustworthy, it’s because we don’t want anything falling out if there’s a bumpy ride!

How much tax will I need to pay?
